Dear Mr: Roark
We are all searching for the truth. I studied the bible for 13-14 years now. I was married to a christian lady for a very long time and I have no
prejudices regarding either religion or people. I am an engineer myself. If you can convince me that Jesus is God. I would be stupid not to accept him
as such. If you can prove to me that prophet Mohamad is a false prophet from the bible, I would also be stupid to beleive in what he said. But
things had to be proven. No Hocus Bocus O.K. That also applies to me. You still did not tell me in what subject do you have a Ph.D.
                                                                        Sincerely,
                                                                        Your friend

Dear Chickadee:

Thanks for your email.   In regard to your letter, I have a Ph.D in religion.
In order to carry on a conversation about these issues, we should talk about what counts as evidence.  I will pursue that in a moment, but I would like to ask the most sincere question about your study of the Bible.     Did you receive Jesus as your Savior in the process?  That question is important for a lifetime of Bible study without receiving Him as Lord and Savior is useless. The central message of the Bible relates to that.

Now the issue of evidence.  I presume you read some article of mine and are responding to it.     If the evidence before Mohammed claims to be universal about an issues, such as the crucifixion of Jesus, and the Qur’an claims a contrary fact, which would you accept?
This is a crucial issue for if nothing counts in your mind against Mohammed and the Qur’an, there is no way of discussing it.

The testimony of pagan (Roman)writers, Jewish documents, and early Christian document give universal testimony to the fact that Jesus was really crucified, not some substitute in his place.    600 years later, Mohammed declared that Jesus was not crucified.   What counts as evidence in this issue.    The Qur’an gives a number of statements that the Injil is to be read and accepted.   There are older manuscripts than Mohammed which have not been corrupted and are in existence today.   What is your response to this?

I look forward to hearing from you.     With best wishes,   Dallas M. Roark
